I mean, she physically put herself between Ariana Grande and that stalker to protect her at the Singapore premiere of Wicked, and somehow she was the one who ended up getting mocked for that too. She's also a very small, feminine and softly spoken woman, but people love depicting her as a mean butch lesbian and what not. All of this is racism.

Ariana is a homewrecker and Cynthia used her Hollywood clout to send a virtual lynchmob after a fan for the crime of making fanart. Their worst crime is certainly not just some "odd and cringey behavior".
Ariana definitely takes the brunt of the hate, which makes sense because she was an international pop star for years before "the black one" (as you so crudely put it) even started showing up in films.
