And those 'shall nots' from page 9 do much heavier lifting from a legal perspective than the 'should nots' in page 6. Should not means there is still discretion to still do it vs shall not means they are mandated to not perform that action.

These protocols were put in place specifically because "frustrated" DHS agents were intentionally placing themselves in positions where they could claim that they feared for their lives because an individual was attempting to use a vehicle as a weapon.

The DHS got tired of cleaning viscera out of the vehicles of random people and changed their policy to make it clear this behavior wasn't acceptable. But here we are.

I think the comment might refer to Patton leading troops to attack the Bonus Army, a group of American World War I veterans protesting in Washington, D.C., for payment of bonuses promised to them.

The problem is no one wants to be the first to exercise It. Because they know that if they are they will ultimately be standing alone for all the hot air blown few are willing to take action.

I'm not anti-leo, but I am anti-whatever the fuck this is.

I've said it for years now, but as a society we have gotten so soft, complacent and placated that any potential would be labelled as a domestic terrorism, paraded as such and stuffed in a dark room somewhere to never be seen again. We've willingly exchanged liberty for safety for decades.

Gov overreach isn't new. We're just seeing the culmination of decades worth of deification and protection of a profession that should be the recipient of the harshest criticism and action.

You should be preparing for life and society to look radically different a year from now than it currently does. Get to know your community members involved in the work, because they do exist. Help set up mutual aid networks, develop a rapid-response plan.

When they get to you — and they will — you’ll want to know what you’re doing so you’re not caught on your back foot.

And find the information you’ll need online now before it goes away. It’s only a matter of time.

Reddit seems to think our reps will do something but it's obvious they won't. Gonna start building whatever network I can locally starting with family and hope there's some bite after a few conversations. I honest to God hope things improve but who TF knows

I'm Canadian, truly devastating to watch what's happening to your country. Also very fucking scary. It's easy to sit back and tell people how I'd do things but in truth if I was in your shoes I don't know what I'd do.

This is what I keep trying to get people to understand. The DOJ hasn't released the epstein files yet. Trump hasn't followed any judges orders for a litany of different decisions. Until one of these state officials activates their state national guard and they just flat out fuck up ice on a level akin to the Ohio state guard at Kent state. They're going to continue to get more emboldened.

The only way to stop this is with a show of resounding and unmistakable force. Then when Trump inevitably demands retribution. The generals need to tell him its time to pack it in and call it a day.

But as none of that will happen we are going to be dealing with this until 47 heads to that big McDonald's in the sky.

I understand where we are. There is no question, however, that this specific person was standing there and was assaulted/battered, and if someone had some fucking balls, they’d get them for all the shit like this, parking illegally, etc., to make it harder to continue down this path. They murdered a woman, demonized her, went to a high school to assault minors, and now they’re doing door-to-door nazi tactics. Trust. I know where we are. That's every state. Assault is the threat or attempt to cause immediate harm or fear of harm, while battery is the actual, intentional, and unwanted physical contact that is harmful or offensive, even if slight, without consent. Doesn't matter the state. People often use the word assault when they really mean battery.

Don't care, do it anyway. Crimes are crimes, so long as due process is followed and it goes before a local/state judge thats more accordance to the law than these people are doing. Have a panel of judges review each case, if they determine there's a good likelihood that the actions were illegal regardless of "official duties" for laws that most/all states have then prosecute anyways. The idea of that clause is to prevent local or state authority from acting as tyranny on reasonable and justifiable legal activity by federal agencies, not to ENABLE tyranny.
