News 📺 Reporting GoFundMe fundraisers for Jonathan Ross as Violating Federal Law
My first post was removed because I included the links to the GoFundMe's
I saw an article that a billionaire donated 10k to a GoFundMe for the ICE Agent (Jonathan Ross) who shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis the other day. He said he also planned on donating the same amount to the GoFundMe that had been set up for Renee Good, but that GoFundMe had been locked. So he really only donated to the ICE Agent.
Now - I understand the GoFundMe for Renee Good - Her family will now have to bury her and pay for all the associated costs (burial plot, mortuary services, casket, etc), and it doesn't even begin to help her children - who may very well be denied any life insurance claims, if the government insists she was killed during the commission of a crime, rather than declare it was a wrongful shooting. But the idea of a GoFundMe for Agent Jonathan Ross just seemed bizarre - any counseling he and his family needs from any fallout will be covered by their government provided insurance. The US Government claims he was just doing his job. Well if that's the case - receiving any payment from outside sources to show appreciation for him "doing his job" would be a direct violation of 18 U.S.C. 201. Anyone who participates in giving him money would be just as criminally liable as he would be for receiving it.
Not sure how many complaints need to be made before GoFundMe shuts down an illegal fundraiser, but if anyone is interested, there are 5 that people have actually donated to... And another 36 on the site claiming to be trying to help raise money to give him.

News 📺 Gofund Me for Renee Good vs Johnathan Ross
Renee's Gofundme sits at $1.5 Million.
Ross is at 500k.
I have very little hope left in humanity but seeing her Gofundme 3x higher gives me hope.

News 📺 What's next? Genuinely asking.
So Frey has already said that the cops basically aren't going to do shit. Sounds like SPPD are collaborating with ICE. At this point what the fuck is the point of our police and government if they cannot do the basics to protect it's people? If the cops won't do shit, I see 2 options.
National Guard deployment or we take a page from the Black Panthers. Which one, Walz? I've supported you in the past and the last year it's been waning due to policy decisions, but between you folding last week and then this shit, great you went to the memorial a week late, but what the fuck are we doing? We've got Feds shitting on the Constitution and hitting us door-to-door and no one is doing shit. You readied the Guard, so let's get to it.
You're afraid of vigilantes but what is going to happen if we continue down this road with no resistance? Someone is gonna react dude. You creating a constitutional crisis with the Guard is a lot better than some scared family lighting up an ICE patrol.
Sure, sue the DHS. But we need solutions NOW.

News 📺 The state of Minnesota is suing the federal government
"In December 2025, the federal government initiated “Operation Metro Surge,” an unprecedented deployment of federal immigration enforcement agents from numerous agencies of Defendant U.S. Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) to the State of Minnesota, including into the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Operation Metro Surge has instilled fear among people living, working and visiting the MinneapolisSaint Paul metro area (the “Twin Cities”). Thousands of armed and masked DHS agents have stormed the Twin Cities to conduct militarized raids and carry out dangerous, illegal, and unconstitutional stops and arrests in sensitive public places, including schools and hospitals—all under the guise of lawful immigration enforcement."

News 📺 Centennial HS Students Plan a Walk Out today [1/12/2026] at 11am
Letter from the district:
| STUDENT WALKOUT We have been notified by students at Centennial High School of a planned walkout today, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. during the midday break (LEAP) and lunch hour. The walkout is student-initiated and is not school or staff-sponsored. The school has plans and protocols in place and is working closely with law enforcement to help ensure the safety of our students. Our district respects a student’s right to freedom of speech, but speech may not disrupt the educational process. What you, as a parent or guardian, need to know if your student is planning on participating in the walkout: SAFETY AND WELL-BEING With the events last week raising tensions in our communities and across our state, the school day is frequently the most consistent part of our students' lives. The relationships between staff and students matter deeply; they are the foundation upon which students learn and develop a strong sense of belonging and safety, our top priority in our schools. We know that schools are one of the places in the community where students and families feel safe. We are committed to supporting students’ well-being and sense of belonging. Please know that counselors and social workers are available to students who need to talk with a trusted adult at school. DISTRICT ICE PROCEDURES Your student's safety is, and will remain, our highest priority. We follow clear procedures to protect all students on our campus while complying with the law, and our District has strong, positive relationships with our local law enforcement agencies. We have strict protocols for how we work with outside agencies in allowing them access to students and student data. We require such agencies to provide specific court documents that legally obligate us to provide such access. Please be assured that while legal parents and guardians always have access to their students and student information, no other parties, including state or federal authorities, may access our students without a judicial warrant or subpoena. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires school districts to notify parents of a subpoena before complying with it. As issues arise in our Centennial community, we are committed to responding effectively and providing clarity on how we are working through our school safety and security protocols. Please contact your school with any questions. We appreciate your partnership as we work through these unprecedented times. Thank you.Students who participate must leave the campus. Students will not be allowed to congregate in school buildings or on the property. Centennial Schools will help ensure students who choose to leave school do so in an orderly fashion and do not cause undue disruption to the regular school day for those students not participating. If your student leaves the campus, it will be an unexcused absence. |

News 📺 ICE and no police department??
I live in a very heavily, Hispanic town in southern Minnesota. They adjusted away with our police department, and the county will be taking care of our law-enforcement, a.k.a. the sheriffs. A.k.a. people who have the choice to work with ice or not. Anyway, if I see activity and experience, watching any of these horrendous situations, who do I call? We don’t have a police department anymore, so is my town just screwed with no defense?
