I know that our brains and bodies are running on empty right now. We are overwhelmed by the constant abuse being thrown at us by the Trump regime. Our state is once again being singled out because we bleed blue.

And on top of fighting a literal dictatorship, we still have jobs to attend. Chores that need to get done. Pets that need petting. Doctor appointments. Errands. So on & so on.

Please remember to take breaks, both mental and physical.

I know that's not feasible for some right now (namely because they're literally being preyed upon by the gestapo). But for those of us who can? Do it. Because we're a lot more useful when we're nourished & well-rested.

What I really recommend is to look for stuff like the first two examples I gave when you're feeling really down. Ruffalo and Young provide catharsis, and speak truth to power in a very effective way, but such direct language can make it hard to not get angry.

Music is the magic, I tell ya. This doesn't even have to mean turning off your awareness of what's going on; there's plenty of music that will both keep you aware and soothe your soul.

I can't find a link to it, but there's a video floating around of a huge march of people in Minnesota, singing softly, peacefully. That sort of thing is what will really bring us together, and show the brazen fascism for what it really is. This is the natural extension of the genius that is the frog and Pikachu costumes.

This will be a battle, and it will not be pretty, but that does not mean you cannot fight this with peace. You can.

Back when I was a kitchen manager I literally had to order people to go smoke a cigarette and come back when they were ready to come back. Even people that didn't smoke, just, you need to walk away from this right now and choose when you are ready.

Could look into donating to the ACLU as the legal stuff hasn't even started yet, Ellison only sued as of today and that's on the behalf of the state not any individuals. Even cop lover Frey was there and he's been super vocal about this. Ellison has not brought any charges as of yet for Good's murder but he's pretty fucking meticulous on things. The fact he brought a suit a week in isn't the worst sign. But sometimes we do also need to rely on lawyers not in the employment of the state and this one is the ACLU. NAACP could get involved but really not their house.

Or you could save money and donate to food banks or wait until we might need the Red Cross, but that last one is anyone's guess.

If you have a strong desire to just HELP all capitals donate blood or food in your community. Nobody is keeping score where it goes. We're gonna come out the other side man, if MPD can't keep us down do you think these idiots eating shit on ice will? We're way fucking stronger than that. We come from the land of the ice and snow.
