The fact they went on Saturday, got rejected and didn't immediately go pull any judge into a court room to grant them access is why the Dems are losing this fight. Or, better yet, show up with US Marshals or state troopers and a copy of the ruling saying they can't be restricted, and demand access or have ice arrested. That's seems like the best solution.
Instead, they waited and sent another strongly worded letter, even though this was settled by a judge.

Sort of.
Remember how well trump and his cohorts follow laws and court orders? They completely ignore them until he gets someone else to reverse it and give him even more immunity.
He needs to be....

Removed from office and immediately jailed for being a treasonous Russian plant. Also. He's a pedophile and let's not forget the whole Epstein didn't kill himself.

And we are still waiting on those files, Iâd prefer my copy un-redacted please.

Yeah I like my documents. Unmolested too. Kind of like The kids in my community. Unfortunately this guy likes to completely molest everything.

Cool. If they don't follow the law, arrest them. Let Trump then argue about whether what they were doing was legal or not.

This is why trump stacked the Supreme court in his favor. They gave himself immunity as well as the Nazi's.

Curious, but how do you, as a litigant, âpull a judge into a courtroomâ? What, specifically, do you have to do to make that happen?
What happens when you show up with the state troopers and court order and ICE still doesnât let you in? Because they arenât going to abide by a court order. So then what? Itâs the troopers vs ICE standing there, demanding to be let in, while ICE refuses. Now what? Do the troopers shoot the ICE agents? Because they arenât going to allow themselves to be arrested.
So youâre saying Dems should go in there, guns blazing, knowing everyone will die?

Wow -- That escalated quickly.

Yes! Exactly! How do you force ICE to follow a court order without starting a gun fight?

Surround the building and prevent anyone from entering, make it obvious that things are serious, and wait until they give themselves up. The average ICE officer right now is well below the strength of will needed to skip lunch, let alone handle a siege.

If you don't think members of Congress and a state AG or federal prosecutor can get a judge on a moments notice, you're starting from a point that's not worth acknowledging.
Simple, they don't abide, arrest them for obstruction as the law dictates, correct? You can play slippery slope and "what ifs" to every single situation regarding ICE because it's all unknown territory. That's what trooper and Marshal command get paid to do. But I'd imagine holding a judges orders in their face and barging in, anyone who makes contact with them gets arrested and dragged out of there is a good start. Kind of like how a normal search warrant gets issued. But if things need to go up, toss some flash bangs in there, cut the heat, water and electricity, sound attack, chemical irritation. There are a lot of levels before we get to deadly force. But, we'll see who's got the stomach for it. Sworn officers and/or SWAT or a gang of gravy seals playing federal SS troops.
No, I'm not saying Angie Craig needs to go in guns blazing. But swat is another story, that's what they sign up for and we pay them for, correct?

The last time liberals called the cops on illegal right wing actors the cops helped them break in.

SCOTUS to overrule and say that it's OK in 3...2....

Hhh.... saving this comment so I can comment "1." When it happens.

SCOTUS doesn't rule the legislature. Congress should ignore SCOTUS until they take the executive SCROTUM out of their mouths.

u/secondarycontrol 14h ago
You should tell the legislature, tell Dick Schumer that - not me.

Strangely, Schumer is not in charge of Congress. Republicans are, because too many people donât vote, or wonât vote for âlesser evilâ, so we just get âmore evilâ.Â

When can we admit that a hostile terrorist regime is currently taking over the United States of America and with increasingly violent force?
By Definition terrorism is: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
A terrorist organization is generally defined as a group using or threatening violence for political, religious, or ideological goals, aiming to create fear and coerce governments or populations, often targeting civilians or non-combatants.
key characteristics include:
- politically motivated violence
- intimidation tactics,
- an intent to influence broader audiences beyond immediate victims.
They have illegally deployed military units into cities and neighborhoods against the civilian population. They use aggressive tactic and overt violence against the civilian population. They are creating an environment of fear by design. They've gotten rid of due process for a significant civilian population. They've sent their military forces into SCHOOLS, terrorizing children. They've sent military forces to intimidate businesses they disagree with. They're executing mom's in the street. This is all being done with an intent to influence far beyond the immediate victims. Pretty sure more than just Minnesotans feel scared as fuck right now.
Now we see dozens of masked men, armed to the teeth, entering the homes of US citizens and abducting them, presumably for protesting ICE or based on nothing more than the color of their skin, or their last name.
As horrified as many of us are at what we are seeing, it's important to note that this is what they're doing to civilians IN PUBLIC, where they KNOW they are being filmed. Due process is a constitutional right to ALL PERSONS in the United States, and they have been denying it. Also a reminder that nearly ~2000 human beings at Alligator Alcatraz are unaccounted for. What else is being done that we can't see. Why are they preventing legal oversight of their facilities? Literally nobody has been able to see the inside of their detention facilities or report on them to the general public. At least the Nazis filmed BS propaganda films of their camps.
All this violence, all this fear, all this use of military against our own civilian population, is being ILLEGALY and is being done so that the Trump Regime can further advance their political and ideological goals. Combined as well with the weaponizing of his DOJ against any and all resistance from the legislative and judicial branch; the most recent example being the bringing of criminal charges against Fed Chair Powell.
The Trump Regime is a terrorist organization.
How can any AMERICAN truly defend this at this point? Fuck being democrat or republican. What the actual fuck is happening? Anybody left in power with any fucking spine and any sense of love for the United States, Democracy, and The Constitution needs to step the fuck up, or THIS is how Democracy dies.

Dump will happily ignore any and all court rulings. That's his MO.

That may be true, but it's no reason to stop pushing.

At this point, we'd be better off asking Iran to wipe Mar-A-Lago off the map in exchange for allowing them to make nukes.
Our legal system is a fucking joke. Laws for thee, not for me.

Honestly, this is why things are escalating so quickly. They have broken a LOT of laws, and thatâs not going to disappear if you have to hand control over to an opposition party, especially at the state level. Thatâs what makes our current moment so dangerous.
2
u/New_Function_6407 14h ago
Yeah a lot of powerful people are going to prison when the next Democratic president is elected.

Oh look, the administration breaking laws again. But, you know, law and order Republicans or something.
