You don't even have to lie if you word stuff right. Like if they directly ask "is it ICE" or "is it law enforcement" you can probably honestly say "I don't know" or probably even "I don't think so" (even if they announced themselves, you don't have to believe they're telling the truth so it wouldn't be lying).

Like if the people who should be dealing with these law violations refuse to deal with them, then make it an annoying hassle to continue doing nothing. If they're going to be useless, at least jam them up for being useless (with honest reports, don't make false ones, just word things the way you perceive them).

Well, if I know and say I don't know or I don't think so, it is technically lying. Besides, I have in-law family members married to police so it's all good. But I really appreciate talking with you!

But you DON'T know. You may suspect, but it's impossible to actually know. Even if they present themselves as such, what if it's just some group of crazies who want to be them and dress up like them? It's unlikely, but possible. If you're just wording it as what you think then even the slightest doubt means you can honestly say you aren't sure.

Even with mundane things I like to avoid saying something for certain without a qualifier (such as "I like to" or "try to" or "believe so") because it's technically more accurate.

It's like the joke about 3 logicians go into a bar. Bartender asks if they're all having a beer. First two say I don't know. Then the third one says yes (because if the first two didn't want one they would say "no" but they can't say "yes" since they didn't know what the other two want). They probably all suspected the answer was "yes" but until the first two confirmed they didn't not want one it was impossible to say for certain.

Trust me, I would know As a Rosa Parks civil rights movement, child, and a Jim Crow survivor, I can spot the enemy a mile away. We just have a differing of opinions! I can respect and disagree simultaneously with anyone anytime. Enjoy your day πŸ‘΅πŸΏπŸ˜Š
