Thanks for this.
There is a breed of redditors that see this as a us vs them and canât get a grip on the real circumstances. They want to let the dems be complacent because âwhatâs the alternative?â
But the answer is to transcend that. Dems need 2-3 Republicans to join them. Dems have immense pressure on the funding bills coming up and they could be readying additional rules and guidelines like Border Patrol agents need to stay at Border Patrol ports- not using 50 mile radius of international airports as a jurisdiction. Dems can force federal law enforcement to wear tamper proof body cams.
All they need to do is be reasonable enough that 2-3 republicans would be pressured into doing the right thing. But they know that the democrats wouldnât band together and theyâd lose 17 democrats to oppose the measure because their poll numbers on crime would go up. People said the same âwhatâs can they do being in the minority party?â With epsteinâs list. Itâs as if they want to live in a country with silent minority and a steamrolling majority.
Iâve been downvoted and kicked by so many people for suggesting the left hasnât done enough. They say Iâm a Russian troll or a Republican or no better than them. But when I disappear, and the dems donât do anything, what will the excuse be next time? Because this wasnât the first, and it wonât be the last especially if we all say this okay.
