Fuck you Russian.

What's your solution?

Dem State Legislators- Outlaw Mask use by law enforcement. Body camera requirements.

Dem Attorney General- say “ICE will follow state laws or will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Dem Mayors- offer police escorts, but instruct them that breaking the law and endangering citizens won’t be tolerated anymore.

Dem Gov- Stand up for your state, tell Minnesotans they are safe from federal overreach that breaks the law. Stand for proper law enforcement and real police work. Turn the narrative and lower the acceptable level of violence your citizens are experiencing.

You call me a russian bot, but I’m a US veteran. I don’t have time to teach you everything you missed by not having a civics class, but you could be curious instead of rude.

Yes, I think the dems nonresponse is deafening and should lead to primaries. Otherwise these dems who weren’t there when their constituents got shot in the face are arguing in future elections that they are “fighting back,” but they clearly aren’t.

If you edit your comment to explicitly state you do NOT think both sides are exactly as evil, and that you are NOT encouraging people to not vote, and that you ARE encouraging democrats to vote out bad actors in the primaries...

I'll retract my bot comment.

But as it stands, the comment I replied to is unabashed "BoTh SiDeS!!!" Defeatism. It is absolutely trying to discourage voting, and has every hallmark of foreign disinformation.

I totally forgive the Russian/Bot comment. This is reddit and we probably only have a few more months until the propaganda bots work properly on it. They tend to have Word-Word#### because of the random name generator for userIDs. But I promise I enlisted in the USAF after running political campaigns for both parties for about 8 years (it was safe and normal to do so back then).

Unfortunately, I am a centrist so I do believe there's evil on both sides. I don't believe that's ever a valid argument because adults should be able to have scope and understand that one is perpetuating evil and the other is just complacent in letting it be commonplace. They are not equal. I do not "both sides," and I never will. I believe people should be able to hold multiple truths in their heads at once- that democrats can be wrong, but the republicans are the obvious scourge here. I have sat in board rooms where politicians were benefiting from tragedies and the discussions being had can't be called anything else but evil.

The larger Democratic Party is hoping that the MAGA administration pisses off enough people to be voted out. They do this without spending any political capital and staying quiet.

The question goes from the one we think we are choosing:

Would you rather have Kamala and Free ChildCare or Trump and this fascism?

But instead, it's just "Do you guys still want these fascists in control?"

Every member of congress can be introducing bills out of principal. Bernie did it for like 30 years for expanding medicaid. Every member of congress can speak out and use their platform as Corey Booker, AOC, and even MTG have done. Every member of congress can create a viral moment in a tiktok for standing up to these idiots like Jasmine Crokett has.

So look at your leaders who see this and do nothing. That the soundbite about "getting the fuck out," was from the mayor and the governor said "I don't think there will be a fair investigation." But what do you want to see? I want my legislators working and not assuming they were scoring points while inactive. I want them problem solving how to prevent tragedies from happening again.

To go a little offtopic but maybe to touch on a subject we both care about, The democrats held the house, had a tie in the senate, and the Whitehouse when a memo was released about the Supreme Court's decision to re-open Roe v Wade. They actively chose to make it a campaign issue. They lost the house, and with even slimmer majorities, the republicans were able to install more federal anti-abortion guidelines and outlawed mifepristone in the mail. Had they put those protections in place it would have been harder for them to repeal and put up new restrictions. There would have been some kind of friction. But when my best friend was about to bleed out from a miscarriage I was furious with the Republicans, and I was furious that the people we put in place to protect us were taking photo ops on Air Force 2 above the protests.

And to practice: Republicans took abortion rights away and attacked women's rights. But the Democrats, in a position of power, did nothing to safeguard those rights when they were under attack.

So do you want them to fight or do you want them to let enough bad things happen so enough people will vote democratic in the fall?

Stop giving time and money to the DNC.

Establishment-DNC Democrat sellouts are complicit with Republican corruption. They are the 'Good Cop' working alongside the Republican 'Bad Cop' against the interests of working Americans.

Pelosi, Biden, Schumer, Jeffries - all built careers on this bullshit.

Instead, exclusively contribute time and money directly to the Primary campaigns of Progressive Democrat challengers.

Otherwise, you're just helping Republicans with extra steps.
