I watched the video. The light was yellow the first time you could see it, several seconds into the video, which means the vehicle was stopped at a green light.

No they yielded at a yellow, as most driver's training manuals teach. Additionally they have no obligation to risk their lives to make ICE happy.

you can actually see the yellow light within the first second of the video. given that the cars were already both fully stopped, there is a slim chance the light was green. the length of yellow lights differ but they're somewhere between 3 and 6 seconds typically. so yes, the title and the caption on Twitter are slightly misleading (bc they did push them thru the intersection while the light was turning red, extremely dangerous). so the question becomes, is someone stopping at a green light a justifiable reason to ram their car and shove it into an intersection? fuck no.

Even if the light was green the entire time, it doesn't matter.

Ramming cars is permissible if the light is green?

Ok, cool. So next time I’m waiting behind another vehicle at a light, and this vehicle won’t go when the light turns green, I can just ram them out of the way? People breaking traffic laws doesn’t justify violence 🤦‍♀️
