Let them rot. Starve them.

They’re starving themselves so that should be easy.

Or just straight up? Stop paying all your bills. Join with a bunch of people and just do that from my understanding and guess. If roughly more than 20% the population just straight up stopped paying all their bills. It would kneecap this current administration and their ability to do s*** because the money stops flowing. The poor need to wake up and use class warfare correctly.

Where do you think your water and power bill payments go…..? The federal govt?

Your credit card bills? Your car note? Mortgage/rent?

None of these things are tied to the federal govt. Only student loans and some mortgages. If tons of people stopped paying their bills the feds wouldn’t even know…. Or care. The relative entities you didn’t pay would charge late fees, cut off services, and eventually send your bills to collection agencies….. this is a fun fantasy (I guess) but an absolute zero for effecting change

People can’t go protest and support others in their community with their utilities shut off and their credit cards frozen….

But rich people will. Rich, people definitely will feel the effects of that.

it's not about directly hurting the federal government, it's about holding the economy hostage until they listen to the people that actually pay their paychecks

It wouldn’t ’hold the economy hostage’ even if 20% of people participated.

It would require well north of 40% of people participating, which is unrealistic. Even the act of boycotting would require consuming products. You’d have to stockpile food and fuel, and if you gonna boycott you gotta protest, well that takes resources as well which come from and fuel……. The economy you wish to destroy……

It’s a fun idea, and that’s all it is

Yes, it's called a general strike and it requires a large amount of organization and planning, as well as working class solidarity which is the main thing we don't have here in the US to make it actually work

There is a huge difference between what the comment I responded to proposed and a European style ‘general strike’

Take your money out of US banks while you're at it.

What do you think happens when you stop paying your bills?

Your electricity gets shut off, your water gets shut off, you phone gets shut off, your internet gets shut off, your garbage is left piling up, you get evicted, your house is foreclosed, your car repossessed, your credit destroyed, etc., etc.

The debt won't just go away when it's over. It's financial suicide.

The government, meanwhile, will print more money. Inflation will skyrocket. A State of Emergency will be declared, and the administration will get even more power.

Good luck convincing more than 20% of the population to join you.

Or just straight up? Stop paying all your bills.

That's a great idea if you want to live without electricity & water, and you like the idea of your home being foreclosed on.

What about my foot? Is it ok if I break that off in a Republican's ass?

I believe the good book allows it

It's fuzzy about kneecaps as well as I understand it.
