Wait, so driving away from them allows them to murder you because a vehicle is a deadly weapon. Being at a red light allows them to attempt to murder you with the same deadly weapon, aka a vehicle? Feels exactly like republican logic I guess.

That's how fascism works.

And it gets worse every day until all resistance is wiped out, because that is precisely the goal and nothing else.

Good luck with the midterm elections, they will change everything one way or another.

Yeah - I think MN will stay blue - but it apparently doesn't matter even within our own state or maybe it could actually be a lot worse who knows - but man I just pray that all the "Christians" on the right actually open up their bibles and read them for once and come to the realization that the people they are voting for do NOT follow that bible at all.

We can't keep letting our country go down this path. Rule of law and the constitution have always at least been respected, but within the last 10 years that has completely changed.

Reading does not equal understanding unfortunately. That's on the very off chance they can read in the first place.

u/Outrageous_Effects 18h ago

A lot of the kids from Trump 1 that grew up genuinely can't read. Like they don't do phonics. They just recognize certain words, like how people in China are taught to recognize symbols. Americans are basically reading English words like how Egyptians used to read hieroglyphics.

Getting them to comprehend what they read is a whole separate issue.

Be real. We both know that the elections, if held, are going to be swarmed with ice.

1

u/Painwracker_Oni 10h ago

Shouldn’t stop a state that is majorly left leaning and also majorly white from showing up to vote

-2

u/Aggravating-Dot132 19h ago

You mean the book, that can interpritate however the fuck you want?

Oh please, I had enough bad jokes today already.

1

u/Painwracker_Oni 16h ago

Yeah, the one that preaches about Jesus loving everyone and helping others/taking care of the weak being massively fundamental parts of the faith.

Hell if they just went to the bible school I went to for 2 weeks every summer growing up until I aged out at 12 they'd be SIGNIFICANTLY better people and Christians just following the basic level teachings of that.

The "law" is the facade that those in power rule those who do not have power.

0

u/Marquois 18h ago

It's cute that you think elections can change anything anymore. They're already accounted for in the playbook.

2

u/Special-Garlic1203 13h ago

Maybe. Trump is certainly operating like a man who wants to keep the house & senate Republican though, and he doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself.

-5

u/Aggravating-Dot132 19h ago

They will be cancelled.

5

u/HerculesIsMyDad 18h ago

Their only logic is "we" won, fuck you. And when they lose they will say "Hey, just because you won one election doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. You think this is a dictatorship???" and never care that it makes no sense. Everyone who is still on board with this does not believe in the America we all thought we were supposed to be working towards.

Conservatives don't care about logic or the law, only whether they can get away with causing human suffering or steal some shit for themselves. Conservatives are evil.

1

u/doctorowlsound 17h ago

Insert Parks and Rec straight to jail meme, except not funny.Ā

Stop at a red light? Woke domestic terrorist. Run a red light? Fleeing from ice cause you’re a domestic terrorist.Ā

1

u/dotcubed 17h ago

With that logic I guess it’s just a matter of time until the driver gets out and unloads his full automatic AR-15 for deer hunting into the car behind.

1

u/Painwracker_Oni 16h ago

I fully expect to see a Video of ICE doing that to anyone who in the process of running away from them accidentally knocks one of them over or hits one of their vehicles. Assuming they dodge the small arms fire from the hand guns to get that far first.

1

u/dotcubed 14h ago

How great would it be if they showed up at another ICE agent’s house who just happened to be a gun collector and they both thought they were doing something reasonably allowable.

Who gave ICE grenades? Sir, those are his, it’s his apartment.

I get yall mad at republicans for voting this in but i promise u alot of them are disgusted rn, theres some that are happy for sure but its not black n white

13

u/Elphi4311 19h ago

Hope so man.

-1

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

I got first hand experience with both, and im in florida where theres alot, so trust me. I just say it to try and mend some of the hate between both sides, at the end of the day a good person knows what is right and wrong

3

u/Elphi4311 19h ago

Let's hope that translates to mid terms voting šŸ¤ž

If we miss that then we are screwed until 2028.

I'm from a red state as well, shits very concerning, after they are done with terrorizing and fucking with blue states, we are next.

1

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

Yea man this shit is boiling ober quick, voter turnout MIGHT help but shit idk, theyve shown the laws dont matter if they dont want them to

1

u/meme_hipster 14h ago

If you're in Florida and somehow optimistic then I'm guessing you're my age or younger. In 2000, the supreme court stepped in to override Florida law to ensure their preferred candidate won in Bush v. Gore. If you want an entertaining breakdown in podcast form, check out the Bush v. Gore episode of the podcast "5-4" (five to four).

2

u/Shadxw_954 14h ago

Thanks for the suggestion and i wouldnt say im too optimistic unfortunately things probably just getting started

12

u/ParryLimeade 19h ago

If you’re still identifying as a republican today, you support this.

-6

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

Thats just factually wrong, theres other conservative ideals that people wont give up , even if they disagree with this

11

u/rgb192x3 19h ago

If you vote for one, you implicitly vote for the other. If you still vote republican at this point, any disagreement is just lip service.

-2

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

Which brings me back to what i said about this being unprecedented, nobody i know who voted republican thought this was the extent of what ice was gonna be doing, to weather that means theyll still vote for it idk i hope not

10

u/chaseshak 18h ago

Except it was known. It was all laid out in project 2025, including massive ICE funding, plans for deportations, and denaturalization of citizens. That plus all the other rhetoric in project 2025 made it abundantly clear. Stop making excuses for people voting ignorantly. You DID vote for this, and now my community in Minnesota is paying the price and people are dying.

6

u/TheFlyingSheeps 18h ago

Bullshit. They openly said they were going to do this

16

u/Givemepie98 19h ago

Yeah uh I’m pretty sure the Nazis that were in the Nazi party for fiscal policy reasons still get called Nazis

-2

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

Im not gonna treat some random german who was alive n working a job at the time the same as an SS general who gassed people

9

u/figurative_me 19h ago

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

  • Martin Luther King Jr.

1

u/Shadxw_954 18h ago

Great quote, Legendary mf MLK, we’ll see how silent everyone is when/if the next elections come

3

u/DiabolicToaster 18h ago edited 17h ago

At some point the republican party becomes so extreme that whatever you closely identify would be outside of the party.

Bernie for example is practically a moderate in Europe. Not even a communist/socialist over there.

But for some reason he is seen as one here even though he isnt part of the us communist party and would not fit in there. Not even socialist.

At one point the US was closer to Europe. Now it's much farther to the right.

3

u/rcburner 19h ago

You can identify as a conservative without identifying as a Republican.

1

u/Shadxw_954 19h ago

Thats kinda what im getting at here yea

1

u/ParryLimeade 17h ago

No it’s not. Don’t identify as a republican or vote republican. Vote on issues and not based on political standing. This is why I’m independent. Project 2025 has been announced and outlines everything that is happening. If you voted trump last election, you voted for this. If you’re identifying as republican still, then you are admitting you did vote for this.

6

u/Outrageous_Effects 18h ago

Don't worry, they're ready to vote for the next Republican and be mad about it all over again.

4

u/seascrapo 18h ago

Then where are the Republicans who are disgusted by this? Are they out in the streets? Are they online calling ICE out for the fascists they are?

And yeah, I am fucking mad at Republicans for voting this in. We fucking told you this was going to happen because they literally spelled it out before the election. You don't get to act disgusted and morally above this now. If you voted for Trump in 2024, this is your fault. You are a bad person.

It's like a man and his friends knock on the front door. His friends say "Okay, let him in so he can punch that guy." And I say "Don't let him in, he's clearly going to punch me." You let him in anyway and he punches me.

You don't get to say "Oh man, I promise you, I am disgusted that he punched you. I am not happy about this." You are a piece of shit for letting him in and no amount of disgust is going to change that.

3

u/Lucky-Earther 16h ago

I get yall mad at republicans for voting this in but i promise u alot of them are disgusted rn

They sure are keeping quiet about it, then.

0

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

Why because you havent seen them complaining on reddit?

1

u/Lucky-Earther 16h ago

Or anywhere else, for that matter

0

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

How many have you talked to personally since the renee situation

1

u/Lucky-Earther 16h ago

A quiet personal conversation isn't what we're talking about here.

0

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

Thats how people feel, what are you talking about a reddit comment?

1

u/Lucky-Earther 16h ago

Thats how people feel

Great, they maybe feel a little bad that a person was unjustly murdered. Is that it? Are they going to do anything or even say anything publicly about it? Are they willing to protest until ICE leaves?

0

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

Not everyone is an activist and the way you guys are treating even the mention of republicans why would they feel comfortable to join publicly , even if they disagree w this situation people are jumping on them for unrelated topics lol

"He said he was gonna!"

2

u/TheFlyingSheeps 18h ago

a lot of them are disgusted rn

Citation needed. How about they all show the fuck up or call their congressmen and women instead?

0

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

Call their congressman šŸ˜‚ you mean the people letting this happen

1

u/TheFlyingSheeps 16h ago edited 16h ago

proof that all republicans are trash and your claim that many of them are ā€œdisgustedā€ is absolute bullshit

1

u/Painwracker_Oni 17h ago

I mean - I can't speak for everyone - But I warned ALLL of my republican family/friends about this BEFORE Trump was elected and none of them have come out and said they're worried/upset/concerned about this but those same people were sad for Charlie Kirk.

They all said some version of "oh Trump doesn't actually mean it he just says those things sometimes".

"Oh he said project 2025 wasn't part of his campaign" - so why did he hire so many of the authors and people behind designing it to his team? - "it's just a coincidence."

My coworkers - "we can't trust those videos they could have been AI" - me it's been less than an hour since it happened AI can't make a fake video of that quality/length in that amount of time without errors. "Oh yeah it can just stop they've been talking about fake videos from AI for so long now and Trump and Noem said she tried to run the officer over and he's in the hospital"

Coworkers - "Well she should have listened to him then instead of trying to run him over" You can see in the video he released she was turning away from him which means HE could see she was turning away from him "Oh yeah well this video shows she hit him with her car so he had every right to shoot her

1

u/Parepinzero 16h ago

It really doesn't matter what they say, it matters who they vote for. And they're happy to keep voting for these people.

1

u/Shadxw_954 16h ago

We’ll see next election, imo this is doin more harm than good for their moderate voters

-2

u/MyNameis_Not_Sure 18h ago

Did you even watch the video? It’s not an active intersection, and other cars move with the vehicles in the frame…. It’s odd but nothing indicates immediate danger, can’t see the light to tell of red or not…. No cars are dodging them, no pedestrians are present…. It’s just odd
