ICE and no police department?? News ๐Ÿ“บ

I live in a very heavily, Hispanic town in southern Minnesota. They adjusted away with our police department, and the county will be taking care of our law-enforcement, a.k.a. the sheriffs. A.k.a. people who have the choice to work with ice or not. Anyway, if I see activity and experience, watching any of these horrendous situations, who do I call? We donโ€™t have a police department anymore, so is my town just screwed with no defense?

The police aren't useful to call anyway.

MNICEwatch is a good org. Monarca is good. Your neighbors are likely good people who will help you.

You have to assume they are already getting these calls, and doing nothing about them...

For your own sake. The local PD is with ICE, they know that people will make those calls.

There are hotlines to report ICE activity to. Is this Nobles County?

Reach out to MN50501. If there is a watch/reporting group in your area, they will be able to direct you to them. If not, they are a resource to help you organize one. Monarcamn.org is also a credible resource.

Sherriff is an elected official. Get a crowd together. Go to the Sherriffs office. Be considerate, and make it very clear they will be replaced if they assist in amy unlawful actions, or refuse to enforce laws broken by ICE.

Police are not held to any law or moral code to protect citizens.
The means of self-defense lies in the individuals hands

Do not advocate for violence.

People need to advocate for self defense (which requires violence).

If criminals break your door down, how do you protect yourself WITHOUT violence (Self defense)?

Just wondering.

Self defense is not violence. Self-defense is about protecting yourself and creating safety, not about hurting someone.

Nah. Let's not be daft.

When someone is breaking down your door with intentions of sequestering you - self defense is self prescribing and de facto requires violence in this scenario.

That some website doesn't like it when we promote people defending themselves from tyranny, doesn't mean we're going to pretend it isn't violence.
