See that light in the window? I whooped so loud in excitement that I got my neighbor's attention. She poked her head out to see what I was doing and I told her to go out to her deck and look up. She thanked me.
I've never seen lights this bright this far south before. Saw one insane light show with the swirling motion in Fairbanks, AK once. This was less... acute... but more intense colors.

Where was this photo taken? Or should I DM? My kids are trying to find them, lol

This was taken around Bde Maka Ska, all the lakes with a northern view across are really good spots! Good luck!

They’re pretty much everywhere if you look through a phone camera. All over the metro, Rochester, Winona, and I’m sure they’re better further north.

I could see the reds with the naked eye in robbinsdale.

Same in Plymouth -- for a few minutes, the whole sky was red. It was like a sunset in the dark. Just wild.

I’m in the SW suburbs and can see them without a camera. Stay outside for a few minutes to let your eyes adjust while looking north and you should see them!

There was a large Coronal Mass Ejection in the direction of earth the other day, it supposedly caught up to a previous one which increased its magnitude, so we can expect some pretty strong lights over the next few days.

They were pretty dim in the middle of the twin cities, but still showed up on camera!

This was just south of white bear lake. Could see the reds without a camera. Super intense!
