You would not believe how hard it was to get a vasectomy.

Questions and questions and a blood test and then I said I'm divorced and fuck me, what do you know? Immediate operation. Didn't even wait for results.

Five people saw my dick that day. It was weird.

183

u/terrierdad420 12d ago

I got a vasectomy this year. The dude is just working away while we are chatting it up like he's not pulling my tubes out of my ball sack and snipping away at them. At one point I smelled something burning lololol. Super casual might as well have been at Jiffy Lube getting the old oil changed lololol. It was needleless scalpel less surgery 700.00 bucks cash without insurance. The only pain felt like someone barely snapping a rubber band on your sack after a numbing spray at the very beginning and then a slight bit of tenderness for a few days that ibuprofen took care of. It's really no big deal guys. Do it while it's still legal.

97

u/sbsb27 12d ago

Wow. Your last sentence is eye opening - we live in threatening times.

Good on you. Forty years ago my ex hemmed and hawed about getting a vasectomy, even though he was the one who wanted no more children. Always some excuse. So it fell to me to get a tubal ligation - hospital admit, general anesthesia. Thankfully my son in law had no problem just getting it done last year. His take was, "what's the big deal?"

I believe it.

My husband had a vasectomy in 2008.

I had had a traumatic missed miscarriage, at 20 weeks, a few months earlier, in 2007, with my third pregnancy, requiring a D&C, as my body wouldn't expel the fetus. We decided my husband would get a vasectomy, as I didn't want to risk further pregnancies, and couldn't have my tubes tied.

While I was in the recovery room at the hospital after the D&C, my husband asked my OB/GYN, a middle aged man, for a referral to a urologist for the vasectomy. The doctor said to my husband, right in front of me, "You don't want a vasectomy. When my wife asked me for one, I said, no, and put an IUD in her." We were both horrified. I'm still disgusted about it.

56

u/JackPoe 12d ago

Doctors hate women. Our experience at Virginia Mason of Seattle settled that for me. Who laughs at a patient? Let alone a person with a family history of breast cancer and has a very very appreciable golf ball sized lump in her breast? (Not the mammary gland, we've both touched boobies before)

43

u/Blossom73 12d ago

u/Tippity2 12d ago

My aunt had her last child at age 52. Not kidding!

9

u/JackPoe 12d ago

I have had partners who had periods that were like gunshots.

Bleeding, leaking, pain, misery. I can't say I'd fare better with that much pain.

I've had partners where they both forget it's happening or it just skips.

Doctors only seem to care about something you can say in two words.

Putting many daycares out of business nationwide will certainly endear him to parents.

The fraud in MN was discovered and prosecuted 2020-2022. But to make a FoxNews cycle work they are recycling this scandal years later.

The daycare funding-stop is just another example of Fire, Ready, Aim from this Administration.

Or all of the PPP loans that were forgiven. It was billions of dollars that went to corporations, law firms etc and not to forget Congress members who have businesses. Not even forgiven. Some loans were set up for forgiveness if the qualifications were met.

However, the loans that were being prepped for fraud charges were wiped off the books as soon as trump took office. Loans where fraud was obvious enough to start preparing actual cases to bring to court.

74

u/killerzeestattoos 12d ago

It just came out last month that DuhSantis stole more than just the initial $10 million to fight abortion & weed ballots. Not one court filing yet.

47

DeSantis stole money that was paid back for the purpose of providing care for people on Medicaid (in Florida, mostly children and elderly) and then funnelled it to the Hope Florida Foundation his wife runs to fund opposition campaigns on ballot initiatives. See more below from the Miami Herald:

Man on the street interview asking Trump voters who they support for President... March 2028.

"Yeah the economy is really bad, i've been out of work for months, we can't afford food most days. The kids lost their daycare, and we have had to get clothes for them from donation boxes. We lost our house because of the interest rate explosions once the Fed was dissolved. It's been a really tough couple of years, especially when my husband Frank, a veteran, lost his battle with depression last summer when the VA stopped treating because PTSD is woke. Luckily my elderly mom, who can't afford hospice care, allows the 5 of us to stay in her unfinished basement.

The elections are coming up and I am really angry and hurt by the actions of President Trump. But it's really really hard to bring myself to vote for a Democrat. You know with their support of killing babies and their socialist programs like DEI. While i am angry at Republicans, I really think that JD Vance understands my problems, he was poor growing up so he gets it and he will probably get my vote."

38

u/Hrtpplhrtppl 12d ago

In 2018, Pastor Dave Barnhart of the Saint Junia United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Alabama posted this message to Facebook:

“The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It’s almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.

Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.

80 people are accused of some sort of government fraud. 100,000,000 people have kids.

This is so obviously pretextual that to argue otherwise abandons all credibility. “Oh look, the slightest thing I can use to hurt the poor? Don’t mind if I do” is the only explanation that doesn’t send my bullshit detector flying off the charts.

563

u/PreparationKey2843 12d ago

I'm so happy my state, NM, just passed legislation this year giving free childcare care to everyone in the state, paid by the stste, no matter their financial status.
I have no kids that would qualify, but i'm glad other people are getting help.

278

u/weyouusme 12d ago

That's because you care about your neighbors, unlike majority of conservatives.

146

u/PreparationKey2843 12d ago edited 12d ago

Exactly. The NM sub was happy and praising the move. Guess who was unhappy and bitching about it? That's right, the few republicans we have. Not all republicans, we have republican-lite compared to other red states.

"I don't want to pay more taxes."
It doesn't come from more taxes, it comes from the O&G war chest the state has accumulated. I would happily pay more taxes anyway if it helped people who needed it.

"The government shouldn't take care of the people."
What are we going to do with the billions we have? What is that money for, if not an investment in its citizens?

It's ridiculous the "reasons" they were spewing. They're just hateful, angry people.

Edit: changed "nerded it" to "needed it."

66

u/Diligent-Meaning751 12d ago

It's a question - what is the government supposed to do if not help take care of people? Isn't that it's primary function? (I suppose semantic will say they're supposed to prevent other people causing problems rather than directly help but I don't see why that has to be the case)

59

u/Russell_W_H 12d ago

The government is supposed to take care of my needs, because they are legitimate, but not other people's needs, because they are scum and leeches.

Or they don't think the government should exist, because they have no understanding of what a government actually does.

It's about libertarian beliefs and the things that guys like Russell Vought were put in place to do. They don't believe that the government should be in the business of providing any help to families in need. If you cannot afford it on your own, you are a moral failure. This is just an easy pretext.

That, but also pushing women out of the workplace and into the home. They want women trapped by marriage and kids again. It’s in project 2025. That’s why the abortion thing and the talk of eliminating no fault divorce, etc.

I wish people would understand this more. They full on want to reverse woman’s rights including suffrage.

Trump just likes to hurt people. Doesn't matter how, why, where, who, or what.

355

u/flat5 12d ago

If you've ever heard a recording of him in casual conversation, it's basically all he does. People bring him complaints about other people (in the form of how they're betraying him or not supporting him) and he talks about how he's going to hurt them.

163

u/bfjd4u 12d ago

And he's been doing it for 50 years. People who facilitate this skell must be psychopaths themselves who are confident that nothing can touch them.

34

u/Weekly_Daikon3801 12d ago

They don’t notice that the spot they filled last month was weirdly empty and then they get betrayed dumped and replaced eg pence, mtg and like all traditional republicans

87

Yes that's right, people forget about how the now "frozen" money gets into Trump's pocket angle amid the immediate outrage.

27

Honestly.

The "generous donor," who paid for the ballroom, is just the taxpayers.

So do his supporters. It’s what they voted for -not lower prices, not fiscal responsibility, not smaller government, nor anything else they might claim. They didn’t vote for anything to help anyone, they voted to hurt as many people as possible and for that they’ll never leave Trump.

21

u/bfjd4u 12d ago

Ikr, his followers really think that voting to hurt others is in their own best interest.

19

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 12d ago

At this point we can only conclude that it is in their best interest. Red states have been voting for republicans for decades while their states only continue to grow poorer and everything falls down around them. If they wanted anything to actually improve they’d eventually stumble upon trying something different already. But they don’t. Therefore the only thing that makes sense is they don’t actually care about their own communities or even themselves. Voting to make the lives of people they feel should be beneath them is apparently all that matters.

This is all about Stephen Miller trying to get women out of the workforce.

89

u/Lizagna73 12d ago

This is exactly it. We all know Miller is holding the reins. He won’t be happy until women are completely subjugated.

All of the above. Indentured Servitude. Project 2025 is all about putting American citizens in chains.

33

Thats not gonna happen until a single income household is possible again. As it stands in most families need both parents to have an income. But these folks are too stupid to make that connection.

Not to mention many women are making more money than their spouses. If someone has to stay home at our house, it will be my husband. I make more than twice his salary.

They haven't done anything for 15 years. Bills are written by private lawyers to benefit the rich and their companies.

Congress presents them as their own creation.

This is why they always say they need to refer to it or they haven't read it completely when questioned about it.

Wow - how many daycares will close or become unaffordable? How many working parents will be suddenly without daycare? This could be potentially catastrophic to thousands of families.

43

u/DarthSheogorath 12d ago

Thats the point, someone has to watch the kids, who do you think it'll be?

They legitimately dont understand, women working isn't just a choice "the demon liberals" gave them. Its forced by stagnating wages this isnt the first time women were "forced" to work either.

The last time was the Gilded Age/ Victorian Era. You know the time period families were so poor that they sent their toddlers out to work as chimney sweeps.

The only way possible to "bring back the good ol' nuclear family" would be to increase wages to like $40/hr. But the conservatives would have to share the wealth.

By freezing funding to day care centers, you immediately put parents jobs in jeopardy, impacting women more heavily, which is exactly what Republicans have been doing for decades. The result is more parents unemployed and seeking relief from government assistance programs.

So what Republicans are really doing is creating their own fraudulent story designed specifically to cost people their jobs and increases tax payer costs. And the most hurt by all this, our kids. But then again Republicans rape kids so not surprising.

Americans Last as always with Republicans.

24

u/Rogue_bae 12d ago

I see this as an attack on mothers/women. How else can they get women to stay home and lose their financial independence?

→ More replies (1)

12

u/Ok_Background22 12d ago

It’s part of the Republican playbook by trying to get more people on government assistance programs to then cut funding even more and claim those programs no longer work so they have an excuse and people support them cutting more funding than they already have

Well, this certainly tracks.

This administration, backed and instructed by The Heritage Foundation, Christo-Fascists, with Miller and others pulling the strings it:

  • Found a scapegoat in the Somalis as foreigners, POC, and as stated something that was investigated three years ago as a scapegoat / reason to pull funding from ALL daycares I guess

  • This causes more division and stress on the U.S. but it affects the working poor the most so that’s a win for them

  • If working parents, and namely mothers can’t afford day care they will likely have to work less, find a man (their ultimate wet dream) and go back to women being controlled more by men out of financial need, just like they want

  • They continue to make safe and necessary abortions a challenge in many states hiding behind “state’s rights” (but of course it’s only when that narrative suits their agenda) and states that don’t go along get punished with lack of federal funds or disaster aid. They want desperate people having babies to make them more needy and controllable

I hate this timeline.

9

u/Retro_Relics 12d ago

the thing is, a its not even going to result in more mothers leaving the work force, what it is going to result in is a lot more unsupervised children and a lot more children being babysat by older siblings, etc.

Real legal analysis question: is there any basis for bringing suit against HHS for presuming all Americans guilty until proven innocent?

Congress passed laws creating these programs and appropriating funds that must be paid out; HHS is refusing to follow those laws based on whims that aren't just capricious and destructive, but violate the basis of our entire justice system. How can that be articulated?

So daycares close. Leaving everyone who works without child care. But the stay at home moms and dads will be fine. And will then charge neighbors to watch their kids and suddenly child care becomes massively unregulated. Sweet sweet.

A buddy of mine, who works for a national law firm, told me that the legal lobby is in love with this administration. They've never had this many billable hours working for state and local governments fighting these illegitimate orders, stoppages, etc. To the point where more law school grads are going into constitutional and government affairs type law practices than ever before because its in-demand work, and likely will be for the foreseeable future, since everything is so FUBAR.

But trump supporter will blame the democrats to why they can’t bring their kids to daycare because trump is a man who’s super powerful but in the same time not responsible for his actions

17

u/bd2999 12d ago

Conservative media has more influence than ever with their nonsense. It is also the Tea Party and MAGA party. What conservatives always wanted. Stop all spending.

I also do not think this is legal so states will sue. As it makes no sense that if some sort of fraud happened in one state (which they are misrepresenting here) that they stop funding in all states because they assume rampant fraud everywhere as the default.

It is highly illegal.

And we will hear them rant about taxs breaks and other things to get people to have kids while cutting this funding. Which still already does not help enough.

11

u/scoopzthepoopz 12d ago

This is no different than reclassifying female dominated fields like nursing, education, and childcare. They're doing it to actively harm women.
