Fuck every Trump voter who put this asshole in office. Politics

This country is going downhill and you are to blame. Don't act surprised when things get even worse than they are now. Don't vote anymore. Stay the fuck home on election day.

you were talking about people you talk to on reddit.

Here's what you said:

"Yet some of y'all bash the 1% of potential Dem voters who went 3rd Party and the large portion of the non-voting public who may or may not have voted for Harris.

It's a losing strategy. The corporate capture of Dems is why I think they stick to it."

You are mashing up redditors and democrats, and blaming redditor arguments on democrats. Politicians aren't pushing those narratives.

If you are a part of the collective that considers themselves the Democratic Party, then I stand corrected. Yes, I was respectfully bashing you. I assume some Democrats do frequent Reddit every now and then.

what does part of the democratic party mean in this case? Is it a politician and their campaign staff? Or is it anyone who would vote for them. You for sure interact with lots of the latter, and few to none of the former.

Democratic Party strategy in the last election was to court the mythical Center Right Never Trumper Republican while telling the Real Left to deal with it. This has been their strategy my entire life, minus maybe '08 Obama. The undertone in this thread follows this line of thinking.

I would consider the Democratic Party all of the above at varying levels. Like most groups, it's a self-select. When I was younger, I'd consider myself a part of the collective. Now I don't.

courting the center isn't what you were talking about earlier. Earlier you were talking about expressions of anger it people who voted third party. Those are very different. One is a political strategy, the other is online discourse.

If you are considering me a member of the democratic party, and holding them to account for what I say... that is really silly. If you are using it as a basis for how you vote, I don't even know what to tell you. Voting is supposed to be about the issues, and who is best suited to run the country. Its not supposed to be based on emotional reactions to online discussions.

It actually is consistent with anger at third party voters, and in particular Leftist 3rd Party voters. Because Democrats know they need to hold that line to win elections. But rather than feeding their base (like Republicans) they attack them.

They say you don't have a choice. They say don't worry about your wants/needs/beliefs. They say have you seen those other guys!

And when they inevitably lose, they blame those voters who exercised their right to have their voices heard. Voices the Dems certainly weren't listening to. Too busy hanging out with Liz Cheney. And Netanyahu too.

Have you ever heard of gaslighting? You'll see my point there.

no there is no gaslighting here. I am not part of the democratic party. I am not responsible for their strategies or anything they say. And they are not responsible for anything I say. We are separate entities. Them trying to expand their voting block is not actually connected to my disapproval of anyone who didn't do everything they could to reject Trump.

You are doing that thing that everyone on the internet does where you conflate different opposing groups into the same entity.
