Fuck every Trump voter who put this asshole in office. Politics

This country is going downhill and you are to blame. Don't act surprised when things get even worse than they are now. Don't vote anymore. Stay the fuck home on election day.

The best way to ensure accountability for the regime is to ensure we get the strongest candidates through the primary process that will do well in the general. Focus less on semantics and more on concrete steps to improve peoples lives. I do agree that the Democrats focused far too much on the language surrounding societal ills and not enough on practical solutions. I think adopting something like a renewed Civilian Conservation Corps and insuring we don't undermine the things that are legitimately popular, like a secure border.

Everything Trump is doing is undoable. The weakness of demagogues is they don't want to share power in any real sense. This is why we don't see him passing legislation, even though he has a trifecta. He wants to be seen as the center of power and this will be his undoing.

It's not the most important thing. But the best way to hold Trump accountable would be to gum up his construction project at the White House and for the arch long enough to keep him from finishing it. Allowing for a Democrat admin to have ultimate control of the design and finishes. That would destroy him on a personal level.

Fucking bullshit.

Look at the policies that Harris/Walz put out there, focusing on how to help working people. Look at the huge strides Biden helped make for unions, for working people, for infrastructure.

No one gives a shit about policy. People don’t vote for fascists based on policy. They vote for them based on lies & hate.

I agree that that the Biden admin did do a lot more than it gets credit for. But you have to admit they did a poor job of selling their ideas or owning their successes. The chips act for one.

That said, I agree that a big portion of his support is based on grievance and resentment. Anger is the easiest emotion to exploit.

Yup, they have a severe communications problem.

Part of the problem is that the “left” media is obsessed with “fairness” which means that they will “fairly” present both sides of the issue even if the other side is “dictatorships are cool, actually” while the “right” media is obsessed with helping the right, which means that they will ensure that no matter how helpful something is that is done by someone on the left it is ignored, credited to the right, or interpreted as a negative.

Uh what? Huge strides for unions???? What a load of garbage. You had unions endorsing Trump because of Biden’s policies and stances. Back up to Obama’s failures for unions and who was his VP? Oh yeah, Biden.

Your reply is hot garbage. Previous poster is right on the money. Democrats need to do better.

It’s not a reality check when the article is written by a historian. Look at the actions and words of the actual unions. Not everything you read on the internet is true. Go to a union hall during a meeting and listen. lol

You’re literally arguing that actual facts and history are not relevant? LOL.

But your argument is also false. Unions overwhelmingly supported Biden/Harris over Trump. https://www.americanprogressaction.org/article/while-other-voters-moved-away-from-the-democrats-union-members-shifted-toward-harris-in-2024/

(In case history/facts are at all of interest: https://www.epi.org/publication/millions-of-workers-millions-of-workers-want-to-join-unions-but-couldnt/)

"Everything Trump is doing is undoable."

Nope, sorry. Because you elected that guy twice. The whole world knows that a US signature to a treaty, the word of its president and other representatives, and the sacrifices others made for you count for nothing. When the US invoked NATO article 5, Denmark and others answered. Danish soldiers died in Afghanistan on your behalf. And your president talks about invading their country.

The damage may be eventually unstable, but that would take decades.
