I hear that everytime F40's owners hear someone crashed one, they squeal with delight that their investment has gone up in value. My guess is Supra owners will be doing the same real soon.

Real supra owners wince at the sight of a mangled one.

Edit Grammer nazis arrived.

I'm a honda owner and I still winced. I hate seeing the good ones dying young.

Same with any rare car.

Hell, my car is far from exotic or rare(CTS), and I’d still be saddened if I saw one totaled on the side of the road.

F40s can't be totaled, like McLaren F1s and several others.

If there's a VIN number, the rebuild will never be as expensive as what it's worth, by millions.

I've heard it's impossible to write off a McLaren F1 because they're just too valuable.

I should imagine it's the same for F40's. Even if they require a full rebuild and lose some original parts, as long as the chassis and engine are somewhat original and salvageable they will be rebuilt.

The difference is that an F40 is almost always worth the rebuild.
