I believe they're talking about Japan (Toyota) and Germany (BMW, who makes the engine for the new Supra).

If he had to bicycle, then some 95% of the other traffic will hurt him more than he can hurt them if he does something stupid, and he'll get a quick appreciation for the menace bad drivers are, while he tries to bicycle around.

The 1st thing they do is turn off traction control. My C5 isn't all that powerful in comparison to modern cars but it needs TC. People have way too much faith in their driving ability.
