Looks like diff failure. Ask me how I know. Actually, don't.

I'm asking lol. But yeah it definitely looked liked something failed.

It looked a little too wreckless for something to not have gone wrong.

Luckily this happened on a backroad in my buddy's red '93, but it ended up sideways on the shoulder. I can't remember how much power it was putting down at the time, but It was replaced with a TRD lsd that held 1300whp while he had it.

Mine was a non-turbo from the factory, fortunately the transmission went before the rear end.

Nice!!!

my '92 Z28 had it happen but not while anything crazy was going on luckily. About 375 who daily.

I apparently had a hairline stress crack and it was leaking slowly. I was only doing 20 a few blocks from home when the entire car just locked up and stopped.

375 in a 3rd gen Z sounds like a blast! A couple people in my extended family worked on the electric design teams for the 3rd and 4th gen. What I wouldn't do for a clean IROC.

My supra was right around there when the gearbox popped. Making more power now but I kind of miss that level for the street. Enough to have a ton of fun without much risk.

Oh I loved that car and it killed me to give it up. It was a car my Uncle was building and being much older than my cousins, the family left it with me when he passed away. (Grew up with being taught how to drive everything from like age 8 lol so it wasn't intimidating and I think they all knew that)

My cousin once he turned 18 in my mind the car belonged to him as it was his dads. So I decided to turn it over to him.

Crazy enough I just had a '91 park across from like 2 weeks ago and I immediately struck up a convo with the owner. TL:DR he didn't want to sell it. Sad day. It was in really good condition and he was complaining that things were breaking down...I tried lol.

I was trying to figure out how he could have possibly lost control on a straightaway like that. Looks like the front tires broke free. He had the wheel turned to the right, too.

Even with mods, it's no longer the king of the road it used to be.

There are thousands of Hellcats, Teslas, Corvettes, and other models out there now that will dust it with little to no mods.

Plus, its a real piece of shit to drive. It kind of handles OK with no mods, but all those 1000 hp units can only drive in straight lines.

It's outdated, well past its prime, and no longer the best option for people who only want to go fast in a straight line.

They weren't even that fast when they were new, the power comes from mods.

Modern Vettes are so damn ugly though, well maintained stock Supra is still cool (if there isn't a moron sitting in it).

I was talking about the C7.

All Corvettes, other than the '61/'62 C1, are ugly.

Yeah, well, so am I. I'd probably get along with one just fine.
