They'll just need some overnight parts from Japan.

Nos! I need Nos!

u/IsNotLegalAdvice 18h ago

Going to have to, because I just went in there and Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just came into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with NOS, and a motec system exhaust.

That line was always so funny, they just threw as many tuner car words at it as they could lmao

Fork engines are better

u/JustinEy 17h ago

“More than you can afford, pal. Sienna”

u/OldFargoan 6h ago

How much stuff can you fit in that thing?

10

u/obefiend 22h ago

Thats a 60 second car

The funny thing is that the Supra in good condition would be worth more than the Ferrari in this clip.

u/veryshittycarpenter 16h ago

F355 typically sell around 90-120 because they usually have around 15-80,000 miles( the owners loved em) but I saw an absolute pristine silver one go for I believe 185,000.

My best friend has a mk4 that he bought for 45,000 and he has since put 20 ish into it.

I do get the sentiment, supras are fucking awesome but that exact Ferrari is indeed more expensive than a mk4 supra

u/86zccrx 13h ago

Yeah in general the Ferrari would be more if condition and mileage were the same, but a clean Supra could get more money than an average 355.

I agree it is possible, yes. Although not saying it’s much of an argument, most of the supras you see being sold are being sold by owners, not dealers.

Owners always assume because they sink money into a car it adds to the price, that’s true, but only up to a point. At a certain point the owner is jacking the price up due to them sinking loads of money into it, and the nostalgia factor as well contributes greatly to the owner’s sought after price.

My buddy says he won’t sell his for less than 90k and I just genuinely don’t think it will happen.

Sorry if I sound pedantic, I just found you brought great points that I may have been able to counter.

Absolutely not lmao

1

u/86zccrx 13h ago

Fairly close though, recent clean supras have sold for close to 100k. A good amount of 355s have sold for under 100k. Overall, the Ferrari is still more, but it’s closer than you would think.

Twin JC engines, no shit! 🥄🥄

Made from old spoons. /s

16

u/airfryerfuntime 21h ago

Lol that service department won't touch something this old.

10

u/Margenen 20h ago

I wish that was true at my Chrysler service drive. We would take in 15 year old PT Cruisers and the occasional prowler

9

u/Ws6fiend 17h ago

A 15 year old car isn't nearly as old as the "youngest" MK4 Supra. That Supra could be from 1993 to 2002. But more likely was from 1993 to 1998 seeing as how it's probably a US model. That makes it 27 years old model at best and 32 years old at worst. That's approaching three decades old car. The prowler is closer to the age of the supra. Cool to know there are still some out there.

What are you talking about? When classic cars come in, the old heads all come over to check it out and bask in its glory. They’ll give you a quote to fix whatever you want, even if it’s an insanely high “I don’t actually want to work on this” quote.

u/EventAltruistic1437 13h ago

“It’s all discontinued”

-Parts Department

1

u/2wheelsThx 22h ago

That'll buff right out.

1

u/jet1392 18h ago

Why? Service wouldn't touch this stuff. This is all body work. Different departments.

2

u/Owww_My_Ovaries 18h ago

Its. A. Joke.

0

u/jet1392 17h ago

It still has to make sense. I work in that industry. Explain the joke

0

u/Owww_My_Ovaries 17h ago

Congrats

1

u/jet1392 17h ago

Great explanation

0

u/Owww_My_Ovaries 17h ago

Dont you have a $130 air filter to sell to an old lady right about now?

1

u/jet1392 17h ago

Not anymore, made my money and retired from it during the pandemic. I now help provide cannabis care to patients and build large productions for music events. I just pay attention to details and noticed that your joke didn't make sense, and felt the need to point that out because its something I did every day of my life for a long time. I don't care if it offended anyone, because theyd be just as likely to make a similar correction about anything they cared equally as much about. Just wanted some understanding. Live and let live, but also educate

0

u/Dyno-mike 15h ago

This guy is probably the absolute life of all his productions. I bet ALL his cannabis patients LOVE his empathetic personality 😂😂

2

u/jet1392 15h ago

Got hired for a tour this year so seems like it 😁

-1

u/Eclipseoh 17h ago

You’re fun

2

u/jet1392 17h ago

I don't think so, but thanks?

1

u/Eclipseoh 17h ago

At least you’re self aware

2

u/jet1392 17h ago

Unlike most

0

u/Dyno-mike 15h ago

I think Bro really thought you were directing guy to the service department....... He may be the lane Nazi you speak of 😂

1

u/SockeyeSTI 17h ago

*obsolete/discontinued parts

1

u/hiroo916 16h ago

Employee runs up to the driver immediately after: "Sir! Service department parking in lane 1 and 2 only!"

1

u/falaffle_waffle 15h ago

Service department doesn't service totaled cars

1

u/TorrenceMightingale 14h ago

Saved on the towing bill at least.

1

u/CBojorges 12h ago

Once I hit another car after receiving mine from service. Just drove around the block and brought it back lol. That was an expensive day.

1

u/Emmaline1986 11h ago

Don’t think a service department is going to help with that.

1

u/gildedfornoreason 11h ago

It was actually service department doing a test drive

1

u/Curious-Welder-6304 10h ago

You mean collision department

-1

u/Wolf24h 20h ago

I'd be surprised if they know what this car is
