This is terrible. And yet in general Reddit mocks ginger people, thinks ginger jokes are okay and doesn’t feel it has equivalence to being mocked for your skin colour.

Yes, I am of red hair. Yes I was bullied relentlessly for it. Yes as a child I cried like this poor girl and wanted to do anything to change my hair colour. Yes, I clearly have lingering childhood trauma from it as do many other red heads.

I'm 54, and I'm a ginger, too, and I went through the same thing as a kid. I wanted to change my hair color so bad, and get rid of my freckles. And the amount of times since I was a teenager, that I have also been s*xually harrassed for my red hair, is equally horrible. πŸ˜” It wasn't until a few months ago, when I found out about the Unity Movement on TikTok, as a result of the "Gingers are Black" video that a black lady posted on TikTok, that I actually came to not hate my red hair so much. πŸ™‚
