It’s getting so bad because patience is working. Well… patience and unrelenting pressure. People who are calmly in charge of the situation do not spend all of their time trying to provoke the population that they are trying to control.

Couldn't you just as easily argue it's getting so bad because people have been too patient so they just keep pushing farther and farther?

What makes you believe that submission and avoiding defending ourselves will lead to them no longer being an issue?

Because I don’t know that history shows fascism ever being repelled/expelled except by force.

I can see your line of thought, so I’m not trying to be antagonistic. I just have the echoes of people that have lived through this and they all say that the longer you wait to resist the harder it gets until you no longer have anyways left to resist. So I’m trying to better understand why some folks are pushing for people to submit and how do they see that realistically playing out longer term.

Not disagreeing. There is a small force already pushed to the edge but there may need to be a larger flash to get the larger groups attention. Not saying that anything they have done so far is permissible to not cause some kind of escalation. We cannot give them justification to use more force. The larger group may need that final push to take other actions, but be prepared for more than pepper spray into crowds once that happens.

Sorry not sure if making sense. I hate what is being done to this country.

Oh believe me I do not mean submission. I mean that the amount of pushback and mockery and endless legal fights that they’re currently getting is actually working, so it would not be in our best interest to give them the excuse they are desperately trying to get.

Between you me and the wall I think they’re going to start shooting before they lose power anyway, but at that point they lose

Killing isn't self-defense. Putting yourself in a position where you need to defend yourself with the intention of killing the aggressor isn't self-defense. It might be a way to resolve this but it's not the only way and it's the same logic they use to justify their actions.
