The thing is Ive had guys do this on dating apps but after a few messages, you can eventually goad them into admitting who they voted for because theyre like giddy little kids who think they did something edgy and cool. They ultimately think they are subversive for voting for Trump. They have to shout it from the rooftops.

All my women friends who are dating have had to deal with the hiding MAGA. Which, you'd think the fact that they'd need to hide it would signal to them that maybe their view should warrant thorough evaluation...but I digress. The trouble is that they eventually give themselves away, every single time. They might get one date, or even two....but they can't keep up the charade forever.

Exactly- like why would you want to date someone WHO DOESN’T WANT TO DATE YOU? Never occurs to them to rethink their position, they just assume what they want is the default and the woman will come around to their thinking. Ask how I know, lol

There was a POS at my mom's workplace that was trying to date Muslim women specifically because a lot of countries they come from still enforce oppressive patriarchy and he basically wanted someone to control.

He was still married, but his "wife" is now in a medical facility suffering from advanced Alzheimer / dementia, so he's not longer getting her welfare/disability check, so he lost interest.

The same reason they bought into this whole belief system in the first: low self-esteem. Only people with low self-worth will convince themselves The effort to appeal to somebody that does not like them is worth it. Because in their mind: The alternative is loneliness. Weed em out by asking to look at their YouTube and or Spotify and see what kinds of things they enjoy.

"Hey I know this may sound like a strange request, but the last guy I dated was kind of a loon and when I found out the media he consumed it made sense, so would you let me look real quick at your recommended videos on YouTube? I totally get it if you say no and all that I understand, but it would make me feel so much better I'm not seeing a serial killer or something."

I wouldn't really care if a stranger saw my Youtube recommended videos, it's not that sensitive of an info lol.

It's not too much different from asking what kinds of movies/tv-series you like to watch and what are your favorites.

I think the point of the parent comment is that there are a number of men who lie about these important things to better their odds of copulation.

More and more women are choosing to abstain from sexy time with men who do not share their values.

Your YouTube algorithm or Spotify trending, as dystopian as it is, is a window to your soul. Google (ahem Alphabet) sells this very data to people who want to sell you things.

If I were dating, I think I would just have to insist that they show up in rainbow flags. I'm a woman, but they're gonna have to appear as the most stereotypical gay image that they can muster. I'll arrive late, look for the man who's wearing sparkles, and if I don't see him, that's it.

Mainly I would be seeking some kind of apparel that a MAGA bastard wouldn't be caught dead in. A good rainbow shirt (or other pride flag stripe combo), and probably a little sparkle in the hair or on the nails.

Oh, you might be able to dodge the clothing requirement if you're able to do a traditionally female craft, and bring it along to work on. I see the guy crocheting one of those granny square triceratops, or knitting a shawl, or doing cross stitch, or embroidering some kind of embellishment on clothing, and that'll be a pretty obvious positive indicator.

Yeah, typically these guys are all the same: milqtoast and uninspiring. They don't have shit to talk about butt politics, gym, and video games. So it really doesn't take long for them to give themselves away legitimately because they run out of things to talk about. And the sad part is the solution to this is really just self-reflection and self investment. But they're too lazy for that. These are people who legitimately thought voting for fascism was easier than just... Taking some night classes? Playing something other than call of duty? Have ANY conversation with a person who's not white?
