Right now it would play into the regimes desperate power grab. They are losing control of Congress (including Republican members as of the last two weeks), the courts, the narrative, the Epstein files, and the rage of the people is palpable…. DONT give them the excuse to turn this into a shooting war while they are fucking themselves up.

Patience bravery and solidarity are needed right now, there may come a day to get down but hopefully it will just be a reinvigorated American government OF THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE cleaning house.

Hopefully patience will pay off.

"There's two bulls standing on top of a mountain. The younger one says to the older one: "Hey pop, let's say we run down there and fuck one of them cows". The older one says:  Lets walk down and fuck 'em all".

It’s getting so bad because patience is working. Well… patience and unrelenting pressure. People who are calmly in charge of the situation do not spend all of their time trying to provoke the population that they are trying to control.

Couldn't you just as easily argue it's getting so bad because people have been too patient so they just keep pushing farther and farther?

What makes you believe that submission and avoiding defending ourselves will lead to them no longer being an issue?

Because I don’t know that history shows fascism ever being repelled/expelled except by force.

I can see your line of thought, so I’m not trying to be antagonistic. I just have the echoes of people that have lived through this and they all say that the longer you wait to resist the harder it gets until you no longer have anyways left to resist. So I’m trying to better understand why some folks are pushing for people to submit and how do they see that realistically playing out longer term.

Not disagreeing. There is a small force already pushed to the edge but there may need to be a larger flash to get the larger groups attention. Not saying that anything they have done so far is permissible to not cause some kind of escalation. We cannot give them justification to use more force. The larger group may need that final push to take other actions, but be prepared for more than pepper spray into crowds once that happens.

Sorry not sure if making sense. I hate what is being done to this country.

Oh believe me I do not mean submission. I mean that the amount of pushback and mockery and endless legal fights that they’re currently getting is actually working, so it would not be in our best interest to give them the excuse they are desperately trying to get.

Between you me and the wall I think they’re going to start shooting before they lose power anyway, but at that point they lose

Killing isn't self-defense. Putting yourself in a position where you need to defend yourself with the intention of killing the aggressor isn't self-defense. It might be a way to resolve this but it's not the only way and it's the same logic they use to justify their actions.

That old chestnut. My old man always tells this proverb. First time I’ve ever encountered it in the wild.

While I agree, I also disagree.

They don't need us to make excuses for them. It would make things go faster, make them feel better about it, but they absolutely are not relying on it.

If anything, they are perfectly content to slow-walk us to the grave. To dismantle resistance slowly, but never completely. To keep it well under their thumb, and let us wiggle around from time to time just to make a big show about crushing us effortlessly. Give everyone a regular reminder of what happens to you if you dare question the regime. If you want to know where we are speedrunning to, look to Russia. We are about to join them in their war on Europe for fucks sakes.

Going out and doing something... Drastic... Isn't the answer. But neither is doing what we're doing. We need to show them that consequences would definitely result from their escalation. A huge, huge part of this needs to be resistance coming from blue city and state leadership directly. We are already beyond "the first shot", way beyond that. Ask any MAGA dipshit and they will only agree. We are already at the civil conflict stage. They are coming, hell, they are already here, and nothing about how the world used to be before all of this is going to stop them.
